We're having a...
If you follow me on social media you will probably already know that my hubby & I are expecting our first bubba! We are beyond excited & I can't wait to blog along my new journey of Motherhood!
A lot of people have asked me whether the baby was planned or a beautiful surprise so I thought I would share our little pregnancy story with you all.
John & I both absolutely love children & starting a family was a convo never far from our lips but early on in marriage we decided we would wait a good few years. *Random moan* It's really annoying when people (usually lovely Christians lol) put pressure on married couples to have a baby, I'm sure we heard the "Isn't it about time for a baby now?" line over a squillion times in the first month of marriage lol! Lovely people, please give couples as long as they need without adding pressure, there could be complications you aren't aware of or perhaps they just want to wait a few years. Ok, sorry guys, rant over I promise.
So, back to our story. After 4 & a half years of marriage, travelling together & generally just enjoying each other John & I felt ready to start our little family. There were & still are a few things that don't tick our 'ideal boxes' like living so far from our family & loved ones but thats just life. We prayed for Gods will to be done & that l'd fall pregnant in His right timing, well the first time we said goodbye to contraception I fell pregnant!!! Wooooooooo!
Fast forward & I'm now 5 & a half months & being kicked daily by my little love. My bump is showing more day by day & soon we'll start baby shopping which we can't wait for! As well as an overwhelming sense of excitement I guess John & also feel this huge sense of responsibility. We want to be as prepared as possible for our bubba & want to of course be the best parents we can... Thats meant our prayer life needs kicking into gear, along with some practical prep which I will blog on soon!
Now I'll stop waffling & tell you that we are expecting a beautiful, little, wonderful, precious, amazing & incredibly loved... SON! Yep, IT'S A BOY!!!! We are unbelievably excited to meet our baby boy & my heart just melts at the thought of watching him play football with his Daddy in years to come!
